Digital? Through the Line? Viral? Guerilla? TV?
 
There are so many buzz words, and so little cut-through.

Your marketing message is probably getting lost in the clutter that clogs up all the available airwaves.

You've started the Twitter account, because that seemed to be the latest thing, and it's not doing anything for you. You don't know or care about the 1000 people you follow. (We don't, in any case...)

We have heard the oft repeated mantra that content is king, however, we have to ask how much any of this content does for anybody.

Blogs, YouTube videos, Facebook Fan pages, and every other alley is literally packed with content, and most of it is terrible. If you think your web 2.0 activities are an extension of your company website, you are due some disappointment.

Similarly, should you imagine that just having all this stuff is going to motivate anybody to become all touchy and feely about your brand you are also mistaken.

A simple, well defined concept can define how you communicate, and more importantly, to whom.
