We were contracted by RTÉ to produce a strand on Touch Rugby in Ireland.
We got the call on a rainy Thursday, asking could we shoot the entire segment the following Sunday and turn around a 6 minute Broadcast package for the end of the following week.
Of course we could!
We got in touch with the relevant parties from the Irish Touch Association, lined up some potential interviewees and contacts, and quickly devised a shooting strategy and some ideas for getting interesting footage, rather than the usual sports fodder.
At the time, all of the teams were in training for the touch rugby world cup.
You can see how they fared here.
Lorcan and our DOP Eleanor were more than up to the task.
We rolled up to De La Salle on Sunday morning, and had everything in the bag within 4 hours. A great bunch to work with, big shout out again to Mike, Liz, Peter and Fiona!
The overall feedback on the piece was very good, and we were happy with it.
